Fragrance diffusers for the home
A diffuser scents the room all the time, with no flame and no smoke, so it can stay on all day — even where a candle is not a good idea: a child’s bedroom, a bathroom, an office. Each kind gives off scent differently.
Types of diffusers
Stone. A porous stone or crystal is soaked with a few drops of essential oil. The scent is soft and even, and you set its strength by the number of drops. The Crown Cup models stand on an LED-lit base and double as a night light.
Reed. Reed sticks draw oil from a glass bottle and release it into the air for weeks. More sticks, stronger scent.
Electric. Room perfume in a glass bottle with USB charging sprays a fine mist in one of four modes — good for a larger living room.
How to use
Keep the diffuser away from radiators, direct sun and draughts — the scent spreads more evenly and lasts longer.
Flip the reeds every few days when the scent fades.
Re-soak the stone when it stops smelling.
A reed diffuser and a candle in one box are waiting among the gift sets, and when you want scent with light, have a look at the scented candles.
