Ornamental bedding
An ornament is a repeating, ordered pattern — a rosette, an arabesque, an interlace. Unlike a floral motif it tells no literal story, so it sits more easily beside other patterns in a bedroom and does not tire after a season.
In our sets the ornament appears most often on satin and on fabrics with a raised weave — jacquard and damask — where the drawing is made by the cloth itself rather than by print. Size 200×220, sets with a sheet.
A close relative is the paisley pattern. If you prefer the botanical motif stated plainly, see floral bedding.
