Jacquard bedding
Jacquard is a fabric whose pattern is made on the loom rather than printed: the threads interlace so that the drawing can be felt with a finger and is visible from both sides. That is why it does not wash away — it would have to take the cloth with it.
Jacquard sets are denser and heavier than plain satin, drape better on the bed and give the feel of hotel linen. Most often they carry ornaments and come in the 200×220 size.
Its close relative damask is made much the same way but has a smoother, glossier ground.
