In Irma, blue and violet flowers and ferns look like drawings from an old herbarium, and a delicate ornamental border frames the whole design. The background is cream and the plain pieces ivory. A good fit for anyone who likes a classic, slightly English style.
The pattern is printed digitally, straight onto the cotton sateen and in full colour. That is why watercolour washes and fine details – blades of grass, leaf veins, the shading on petals – look like a painting rather than a classic print in a few colours. The sateen is smooth, slightly lustrous and breathable.
